Benjammin was born and raised in Brighton, England, in the early 70s and has been living in Barcelona for more than 20 years. Besides being a versatile singer and DJ, he is also a very talented musician
(saxophonist). The power and tone with which he sings is similar to artists such as Winston Rodney or Freddie McGregor, while always keeping with his unique style and deep quality lyrics.
Benjammin writes about current issues with a conscious perspective, issues such as social reality, the environment and relationships between people.
He has collaborated with Roberto Sánchez and A-Lone ARK on different albums, such as the Lone Ark album “Oil and Water” in 2006 and with his song “Spring Soon Come” on a 10″ in 2008 with the veteran
Earl Zero. His latest album “Sons and Daughters” is full of the best reggae roots and dub.
